1. Tittle of Practice Conservation of Environment

Objective of the Practice : -

Objective of the Practice Environment is a very important phenomenon in the present world which is facing lot of hazards due to man made destructive things. The loads of discarded Electronic Devices, high number of automobiles emission and the resultant fuel and dust are creating havoc. Thus the objectives of this practice are:
1. To create Awareness among the students.
2. To train and teach the students to preserve ecological balance. 3. Various programmes such as a plantation and plastic free drive is done.
3. Context: The college has undertaken consolidated and positive measures in the field of Environmental Awareness and conservation. Following steps have been implemented:
A. Revise, reduce and recycle the wastage
B. Gajar grass is completely removed from the campus.
C. Discard the use of Plastic.
D. Special Area reserved for protection of peacock.
E. Adoption of parts of college campus by students and staff and their conversion into gardens, Landscaping is also done.
F. To promote public transport.
G. Evidence of success Indore is the cleanest city of India for three consecutive years. The citizens of Indore including our students are well versed with the concept of revise, reduce and recycle
1. The backside of typed paper sheets is reused for writing work.
2. The hard cover sheets of copies are used for Brail writings of the blind students .
3. The remaining food and vegetation is recycled and converted into manure
4. Peacock stay in a part of college campus and special care is taken by the staff and the students for their well being.
5. Staff of various departments along with the students are developing gardens.
6. Problems Encountered and Resource Required The Institute is helped by the local Administrative authority such as Indore Municipal corporation and the collectorate, (clubs like Lions) and Rotary and the Janbhagidari committee of the college. Maintaining the ecological balance is a difficult task.
7. Resources Required The college requires advanced tools for complete removal of gajar grass. Extra Man Power is required II Health Nutrition Awareness .

2. Title of the Practice : Health and Nutritional Awareness in Girls.


Objective of the Practice :

Mata Jijabai Government Girls P.G. College Indore Madhya Pradesh has second highest number of Girl Students and in the Year 2019 almost 9000 girl students were admitted and quite a number of them are from ST, SC, Economically weaker and underprivileged section. According to Census 2011 49 of population are female and they have considerable contribution in GDP of our Country.
Besides the well being of our 'Matra Shakti' is very important from cultural and humanitarian point of view. According to W.H.O. report 80 Indian women are Anemic. If the Girls are healthy they will grow up into healthy women.
A Healthy Lady will deliver a healthy baby. So the objectives of practice are: a. To create awareness amongst Girls about health so that they can prevent themselves from various diseases. b. To improve health status of underprivileged girls. c. To create aware for HIV/AIDS.
3. Context: Various Health Checkup Camps and Awareness Lectures are organized in the Institution from Time to Time: a. Every year 01st to 07th August is celebrated as Breast Feeding Week b. Every year 01st to 07th September is celebrated as Nutritional Week.
In this week various health checkup and lectures are organized like Hemoglobin Test, Cancer, Osteoporosis and Cardiac Test. The Institute gets cooperation from N.G.O.'s, Clubs (like Lions and Rotary) and many Hospitals.

5. Evidence of success : Hemoglobin tests enables the Institute to identify the girls with Iron deficiency. Iron tablet are distributed and they are educated about the right and proper diet. Thus there is an increase in the health awareness and health status
6. Problems Encountered and Resource Required: The institute generates resources from N.G.O.'s, Clubs (like Lions and Rotary) and many Hospitals (eg. Shalby Hospital). Besides many Doctors voluntarily step in and provide free services to the girls and staff.
Resources Required: The Institutional premises has Three Hostels in which almost 500 girls are residing. Looking to the large number of students and staff it is essential to have one Dispensary in the campus along with a Doctor who may treat the emergency cases of girls and staff as well as perform the general health checkup 05092017 During National Nutrition week, organized a camp to defeat Arthirits and Osteoporosis among college staff members lecture also delivered by Orthopeditian.

Taneja Orthopaedic Surgeon Arihant Hospital Indore 19082017 and 21082017 To spread awareness about environment and water contamination "Eco friendly Ganeshji making" Work shop organized for students and college staff 48 Programme Coordinator Dr. Anuradha Upadhyay Expert Smt. Sonali Gupta Faculty in Rahini College of Fine Arts, Indore Title of the Practice Blind Helpline Cell for Higher Education for higher education of visually impaired girl students. III Objectives of the practice - Mata Jija bai Govt. Girls Post Graduate College is the only college in M. P. in which largest numbers of visually impaired girls are studying with sighted girls. This year (201718) 70 visually impaired girls are studying with support system by institution and volunteer the number of visually impaired girls increase every year.
This practice is best example of inclusive education (Samaveshi Shiksha) and about 55 have been secured jobs in organization.
It is a matter of great pleasure and proud for our institute. Such student require special additional attention for o Recording of educational material in audio form. o Scribes for examination that should be junior to students.
